I confess that I love all of Sumomo Yumeka's works, but it's certainly not without reason. Therefore Sumomo Yumeka is amazing. The book isn't smutty (a plus for me).
She always manages to portray the emotions of her characters through close ups, eyes, and with few words. Not to mention how calming and mellow her work is. and charmingly innocent, unlike.just about every yaoi on the market.Anyway, this is amazing. Her artwork is entrancingly beautiful, and her stories are sweet and poetic.
which keeps the book realistic (how many couples sex it up right after telling each other their feelings.). All with keeping her books interesting.Same Cell Organism is my personal favorite out of all her works. Nakagawa and Yokota make a very sweet, very real couple.
More amazing than any other manga I've ever seen published. Look for 'Voices of a Distant Star' too, which she drew under her other pen name, Sahara Mizu.
Otherwise I would have given it a 5 out of 5.I do recommend that you take a look at other short stories done under her alternate pen name, Mizu Sahara. I found all of most impressive, though I wasn't as impressed with 'To Make An Angel'.
Same Cell Organism is more than just boy's love. This was a really wonderful collection of stories.
So moving and so well told. This mangaka has a unique style that is delicate and sweet which goes so well with her story telling.
Bittersweet, is what comes to mind. It sort of seemed out of place and broke the mood a little.
'Bus Hashiro', 'Nanairo Sekai', and "My Girl" are all wonderfully written and illustrated.
I fell in love with it on page 1. It was like poetry through art. It was such a beautiful collection of short stories. If you're expecting a long in depth sex-fest, you're going to be dissapointed; however, this book is by no means shallow, pointless, or without depth. Truely a work of art.
my best friend lent it to me and i was aghast at how beautiful the stories were, i'm really picky when it comes to yaoi or shonen ai and this, i must say is one of my favorites.
Starting with the first story of Nakagawa and Yokota. Same Cell Organism surpassed my expectations. The stories in this manga were sweet and charming. The emotion expressed through the breathtaking and clean artwork to the story lines enraptured me from the start. Very good and highly reccommended to Yaoi fans.
